Water Damage in Newport, Kentucky

A leak in the foundation of this home in Newport, Kentucky was the cause of the water damage to the finished basement. The homeowner contacted SERVPRO of Boone County because he wanted the water restoration process to begin as soon as possible. Our technicians responded to the call and these photos show the work in progress. In this instance, it was necessary to remove the padding before drying out the carpet. The moisture under the carpet can be seen in the first photo. The second photo shows the carpet after it was lifted and the drying equipment was set up in the area. For this job, it was necessary for the technicians to use several air movers and dehumidifers to complete the process.
