Sewage Back Up in Florence, Kentucky
The owner of this home in Florence, Kentucky called SERVPRO of Boone County when, as a result of a clogged drain, sewage backed up into the unfinished basement. Our SERVPRO technicians responded quickly to get the cleanup process started. For this job, the water crews first extracted the standing water and sewage from the concrete basement floor. They then thoroughly cleaned the surfaces and applied a plant-based anti-microbial agent to the hard floor surfaces. This agent helps prevent mold from becoming an issue in the future. In order to make sure that the area was completely dry, they set up air movers and dehumidifiers. The equipment was monitored until the dry out process was complete. When all was clean and dry, the basement was back to normal! The photos show the area before and then after the mitigation process.
