Water Damage in Wilder, Kentucky
The water damage in this home in Wilder, Kentucky was caused by a washing machine overflowing. When the washing machine malfunctioned, the basement area was affected with standing water and the vinyl flooring and drywall were damaged. SERVPRO of Boone County received the call for mitigation services after “regular” business hours and responded quickly. After a water damage event, it is very important to dry the affected area quickly and completely in order to prevent further damage such as mold growth in the home. For the area shown in the photos, the technicians removed the non-salvageable vinyl flooring as well as the baseboards. They also cut out the portions of the drywall that were wet. The SERVPRO air movers and dehumidifiers were set up in the areas until the dryout process was complete. Once complete, all debris was hauled away, the drying equipment was removed and the area was ready for the structural repairs.
