Water Damage in Alexandria, Kentucky Home
Water damage occurred in this home in Alexandria, Kentucky as a result of a broken refrigerator supply line. SERVPRO of Boone County was called to help! Our water crew arrived onsite to assess the damage and begin the restoration process. For this particular loss, it was determined that this was a Category 1, Class 3 water loss. A Category 1 rating means that the water came from a sanitary source (the refrigerator line) and Class 3 signifies that it has the fastest evaporation rate and that the ceilings, walls, insulation, carpet and sub-floors are all saturated. In the kitchen area shown in the photos, the technicians removed the non-salvageable flooring and baseboards, detached the cabinets, and drilled holes in the lower portion of the drywall for wall cavity drying. They set up and monitored the air movers until the areas were dry. All debris was bagged and removed for disposal. When the dry out process was complete, equipment was removed and the home was ready for structural repairs.
