Quick Response to Water Damage Can Help Avoid Mold Damage!

There was water damage to this Northern Kentucky property when a utility sink overflowed and the home owner called SERVPRO of Boone County for mitigation services. The water technicians responded rapidly to complete the water restoration process as quickly as possible and to help prevent further damage such as mold growth to the home. For the area shown in the photos, the technicians removed the non-salvageable floating laminate floor and they drilled holes along the walls so that the wall cavities could be dried more effectively. A plant based microbial agent was applied to the surfaces. This agent helps to prevent mold growth after a water damage like this one. Air movers and dehumidifiers were set up in the areas until the dry out process was complete. Once complete, all debris was hauled away, the drying equipment was removed and the area was ready for the structural repairs.
