Water Damage Can Lead to Mold Damage
This home in Alexandria, Kentucky was damaged by water when the dishwasher malfunctioned. Mold thrives in a moist environment with poor air circulation and can most commonly be found in places like showers and tubs, leaky sinks or pipes and basement walls or crawlspaces. When water damage occurs, a quick response is necessary to help prevent mold from growing. These photos show the crawlspace of this home. In the process of drying out the area, a containment barrier was installed and air movers and dehumidifiers were placed in the area. The before photo shows the crawlspace before the containment barrier was placed and the after photo shows the area with the containment barrier and the drying equipment in place.
