Storms Cause Flooded Basement in Union, Kentucky
When Union, Kentucky experienced heavy storms, the sump pump in this home was unable to keep up and water invaded the finished lower level. The family room, bath, closet and storage room were all affected. The carpet and padding was saturated as well as the vinyl flooring in the bath. For this emergency dry out, the SERVPRO water technicians removed and disposed of the wet carpet pad. They extracted the water from the carpet and lifted it for complete drying. They also applied an anti-microbial agent. Airmovers and dehumidifiers were set up, monitored and then removed once the drying was complete.
