Water Damage in Florence, Kentucky
There is nothing worse than coming home from vacation and finding water damage in your home. That’s exactly what happened to the owner of this home in Florence, Kentucky. While he was away, the toilet malfunctioned and caused water damage throughout the home. This photo shows the bathroom where the leak started. For this project, the SERVPRO of Boone County water technicians removed the vinyl flooring and the damaged baseboards. They drilled holes in the lower portions of the walls to promote wall cavity drying and they applied an anti-microbial agent to the hard surface areas. They set up air movers and dehumidifiers and monitored the equipment until the dry out process was complete. Once they were sure the area was completely dry, the equipment was removed and the area was ready for structural repairs.
